NEWS:
I am in the movies! Mother Died, off of Mix It Up, is featured in the new Werner Herzog remake of The Bad Lieutenant. The song, composed by Andy Forest, Roberto Luit and I, will be played over the credits at the end of this movie which takes place in New Orleans. Starring Nicholas Cage, who had great things to say about the NOLA music scene. Read Nicholas Cage's review

NEWS: We made it through hurricane season unscathed. YEAH! All my bands are playing this month. The Spotted Cat is opening back up. YEAH! The Blues Trio will start back up every Friday night from 7 - 10pm starting Oct. 30. Come on out and say hi.

NEWS: I will be over in France and Italy with Andy and Roberto Luti this month. I'm also working on a new recording with the Tokyo and Nashville cats this month. Tin Men are taking August off at dba and we will be back in September. See ya at the gigs

NEWS: It is HOT down here and everybody is starting to tour in cooler climes.
Some of the regular gigs will feature different bands as cats leave town. I will
be in Port Townsend, Washington for the Centrum Blues Workshops at the end of
the month.

Washboard Chaz Blues Trio will now be doing their early Saturdays shows at the Blue Nile,
on Frenchman St. Same great music, same great vibe, just at a larger club!

Washboard Rodeo is one of the newer bands in New Orleans playing western swing. A
repertoire consisting of musical greats like Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Spade Cooley and
Cliff Bruner holds down the western swing. A few city swing by the likes of Cab Calloway,
Count Basie and The Cats and the Fiddle round out the sound. With a lineup featuring
string instruments, the band gives off an old time feel. Neti Vaan, aka Nellie Belle, on
fiddle, Matt Rhody, aka Tater, on fiddle and mandolin, James Walsh, aka Big Possum, on
upright bass, Matt Johnson, aka Dapper Dan on guitar and Chaz, aka Scruboard Chuck, on washboard and snare drum. Check us out and
get ready to dance!

NEWS: It's Jazz Fest time and New Orleans is hopping. I will be playing weddings
the last four Saturdays in May with Tin Men and Blues Trio. Andy, Slim and Kenny Holladay
will be covering the Spotted Cat gigs. The Cat is supposed to change hands May 1, so we'll
see what happens. Everything is supposed to stay the same, but you never know It's been a
great seven year run for The Blues Trio and hope it will continue. See ya at the gigs!

during Mardi Gras. The Trio and Tin Men play Frenchmen Street during Krewe de Vieux. Come

selected to play JazzFest on May 1. The Palmetto Bug Stompers play Dance Renaissance's
winter extravaganza featuring dancers from around the U.S.Tin Men now have a weekly gig at
dba and all 6 of my bands have gigs this month. See you there!
